Binge drinking in 12th grade strongly predicts drinking‐and‐driving arrests, blackouts and extreme binge drinking (15 drinks at one occasion) into young adulthood, according to a study published in Pediatrics in February. Based on self‐reports, it also strongly predicts — not surprisingly — risky driving up to four years after leaving high school.
