Private insurers can play an immediate and pivotal role in 2020 in combating an underutilization of methadone treatment as the opioid crisis continues. However, it will take a coordinated effort among a broader set of stakeholders in order to achieve a full transformation of methadone treatment over the long term, a newly published report suggests.
