The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) is considering licensing a harm‐reduction clinic in Ithaca, but it's early in the process. The Reach clinic has been working with people at the agency, which has embraced the concept. But nothing official has happened yet. “OASAS has not received an application from Reach to establish services,” an OASAS spokesman told ADAW . “We do know that they have begun conversations about seeking OASAS certification in the community. Since this provider has not submitted a formal application, we cannot comment further.” Stay tuned.
