Colorado got $15 million a year for two years for the SOR (State Opioid Response) grants — nearly double what the state received for the STR (State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis) grants, at $7.8 million a year for two years. The state has been working hard to battle the stigma against medication‐assisted treatment (MAT), recruiting more primary care physicians to prescribe buprenorphine and enhancing treatment at 22 of the state's opioid treatment programs (OTPs).
