In “Evaluating the Promise and Potential of the Parity Act on Its Tenth Anniversary,” Lindsey Vuolo and Robyn Oster of the Center on Addiction (formerly CASA), along with Ellen Weber of the Legal Action Center, wrote, “Insurance is complicated, but parity is simple.” Their blog post, published in the current issue of Health Affairs , shows that enforcement is necessary for parity to be a reality, and enforcement is far from happening.
