Some people were confused when Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, responding to a question about whether he had ever “blacked out” from drinking, responded that sometimes he fell asleep. So, we checked with the National Institute on Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse (NIAAA) to get answers.
