Jordan Mozer is a designer of surprising contradictions. Having pursued a specifically American form of storytelling through his designs for the likes of Bellagio in Las Vegas and the Hudson Club in Chicago, he despises the impulse towards homogeneity in the US. He begins all designs with a service plan, yet pursues the expressionistic potential of architecture. Howard Watson provides insights into the work of a designer who has proved as successful in Germany as in his hometown of Chicago. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
