Can the noun ‘beauty’ be repurposed as a verb? Can beauty manifest itself in the act of making architecture to become a ‘doing word’? David A Garcia thinks so. His notion of beauty is illustrated through his recent work as Associate Professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (KADK) and with his practice MAP Architects, which uses art and technology to produce architecture in extreme arctic environments.
