Architecture and art are symbiotic disciplines. Architect Sam Jacob and artist Pablo Bronstein use tactics of performance, role play and enactment to both provoke and understand their individual practices. Robert Venturi and Aldo Rossi loom large as key influences in their expansive propositions. Guest‐Editors Matthew Butcher and Luke Caspar Pearson met with them in Bronstein's East London studio to discuss the meaning behind their use of historical architectural references within the development of their work.
