LanD Studio is a Nanjing‐based think‐tank for place‐making that carries out design research in real conditions. Guest‐Editor Andong Lu , who co‐founded the studio with fellow former Cambridge University researcher and Guest‐Editor Pingping Dou , introduces its form of working through recent installations and interventions that embrace architectural renovation, exhibitions, participatory performance and mass‐media activities. Architecture here becomes a meaningful experience that connects people to each other and to their environment.
