META‐Project is a Beijing‐based practice intent on improving quality of life in cities. Through a parallel research platform and an intermediate prototyping thread, it is exploring ways of using architecture to connect people to their social environment and promote positive interaction. Founding principal Shuo Wa ng outlines the evolution of META‐Project's approach and documents several of its recent community‐enhancing projects and investigations.
