Like a building to its site, true body architecture must be properly fitted to the specific topography of the wearer's body. Reverb and Tactum are two digital modelling tools developed by Pittsburgh‐based research studio ATONATON for this very purpose. Using projection mapping, depth sensing and gesture recognition, they allow users to physically interact with a virtual design process that links directly through to a 3D‐printed output. Madeline Gannon , the studio's leader, explains how they work.
