This paper considers a linear discrete‐time system controlled by a GPC regulator. However the parameters and dynamic order of the system assumed for the regulator design differ from the true parameters. Hence there is a model‐system parameter mismatch. For this case it is shown how to determine the stability of the system and then how to calculate the mean values and variances of input and output signals. The formulae presented give some insight to the robustness of the stochastic GPC controller.
