An existence problem for non‐stationary Lyapunov functions is considered. This problem is connected according to a certain rule with the linear Hamiltonian system that is called adjoint. We apply this method to obtain conditions of absolute stability and adaptive stabilization for non‐linear non‐stationary systems.
