SUMMARY This paper considers two consensus problems of multiple nonlinear systems. In the first consensus problem, distributed control laws for multiple nonlinear systems are proposed such that the state of each system converges to a constant agreement vector with the aid of communications between systems. In the second consensus problem, distributed robust/adaptive control laws for multiple nonlinear systems are proposed such that the state of each system converges to the state of a reference system whose state is available to a portion of multiple systems. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed control laws. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
