Estimates of autobiographical frequencies can be obtained through various types of questions. This paper focuses on interval‐based measures, where frequency is imputed from reports of the length of time between events (e. g. 7 days between events implies 52 events per year). We find that interval‐based measures tend to produce higher estimates than other types of frequency measures, and that differences among measures may be attributable to a variety of cognitive factors.
