This paper focuses on a house with a workplace for a family of four. The building includes three design elements that play an influential role in architecture: external shape, composition, and structure. I designed the home paying attention to how these components were dealt with throughout the design process and how they would appear in the final product. The correlation of each element is crucial in creating a space where one can experience the dynamic fluctuation of the master‐slave relationship, and we can see the leading part switching for each scene of the space. In this article, I reflect on the design process and examine the way the three elements are handled hierarchically, and those relationships and the significance.
