Arcobacter butzleri isolates showed strain‐dependent growth patterns at 8 °C. In addition, 13 genes homologous to cold shock‐related genes of Escherichia coli were identified in the genome of the A. butzleri reference strain, and similar expression patterns of these genes were observed by reverse transcription‐quantitative PCR in the early phase after cold shock.
