A workshop was held in Stony Brook, N. Y., to discuss new research results relating to high vertical resolution radiosonde data (HVRRD), to explore new research applications using HVRRD, and to discuss improving access to HVRRD worldwide. The workshop, sponsored by the U.S. National Science Foundation and Stratosphere‐Troposphere Processes and the Role in Climate (SPARC), a core project of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP), was attended by 19 scientists from 9 countries.
