A new report that calls for reorganizing the management of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) national laboratory system generally received a favorable response during an 11 July hearing of the Subcommittee on Energy of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. The department is already moving forward with measures to address several recommendations, Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz stated in a 10 July letter to the subcommittee, which was released at the hearing.
