AGU has announced that Brooks Hanson—former deputy editor of physical sciences for Science —will be its new director of publications. In the position, which he will assume on 25 February 2013, Hanson will work to evolve AGU's publishing program in a changing marketplace as well as to monitor and develop strategies to address public policy directives and options that impact the publishing of scholarly research.
