In this paper possibilities of impacting on self‐excited threshold and on amplitude of arisen self‐excited vibrations are investigated. The short symmetrical bearing model on pericycloid slide bearings with multiplicator factor 3, 4 and 5 was used as the support bearing model. Amplitude of occurred self‐excited vibrations in dependence of clearance of the bearing and rotation speed are analyzed for directions ξ, η in Cartesian coordinate system.
