Formation of highly crystalline guanidinium salts of sulfonated triphenylphosphane derivatives is demonstrated as a general method for obtaining samples suitable for single crystal X‐ray structural characterization. The structures of sulfonated phosphane ligands 1 – 5 have been determined. Extensive hydrogen bond networks between guanidinium N‐H donors and ‐SO 3 oxygens as acceptors and/or π‐π interactions stabilize the structures.
