In order to enhance the bioactivity and the potential osteoconductivity of bioresorbable polymer scaffolds, bioactive glass becomes a candidate material to be used as a coating, effectively forming a polymer/glass composite structure. In this communication, an optimized processing technique for the fabrication of composite materials formed by biodegradable polymer meshes and Bioglass particles has been developed based on a slurry immersion procedure.
