The pressure and temperature behavior and the reactor control during a TEMPO‐controlled radical suspension polymerization in an oil/water system in an autoclave are discribed. A detailed knowledge of this process allows to draw conclusions about the phase behavior during the reaction and helps to ensure a stable reactor control. The suspension polymerization is carried out as a block copolymerization beginning from TEMPO‐terminated polystyrene with styrene and acrylonitrile and styrene and butyl methacrylate to the pearl polymer.
