Mass transfer is markedly influenced by interfacially active substances, which are of importance for reactive extraction processes due to the enrichment of the surfactant at the surface. The authors present a kinetic model based on experimental results that is able to describe all experiments with one set of kinetic parameters, regardless of the type of surfactant present.
