The electrochemical oxidation and reduction of 5‐benzoyl‐2‐imino‐3‐substituted‐2,3‐dihydro‐1,3,4‐thiadiazoles, 5‐aroyl‐2‐imino‐3‐phenyl‐2,3‐dihydro‐1,3,4‐thiadiazoles and 2‐imino‐3,5‐disubstituted‐2,3‐dihydro‐1,3,4‐thiadiazoles have been investigated in different nonaqueous solvents such as 1,2‐dichloroethane, benzonitrile, acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran and dimethylsulfoxide at platinum electrodes using linear sweep and cyclic voltammetry. The solvation energies of the different species have been obtained. The effect of temperature on the redox characteristics of the investigated compounds have been also studied.
