On the basis of connections between interfacial activity of surfactants, their electrocapillary activity and adsorptive stripping tensammetry, possibilities are suggested of the ways of i) comparing interfacial activities of related adsorptive substances; ii) electrocapillary concept of describing the potential shifts ΔE p of desorption peaks with changing concentrations c of surfactants. The comparison or estimation of the electrosorption activity, best for homologous species, was based on evaluation as linear or nonlinear tensammetric current I vs. c dependences. The dependence between ΔE p 2 and ln c was interpreted in terms of electrocapillary terms and coefficients. The aqueous electrolyte water solutions containing sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, oleic acid, dodecanol, triphenylethylene and monensin were used.
