Photostable and strongly fluorescent pyrazolines have been prepared by introduction of various substituents into the pyrazoline (see Figure) and phenyl rings. The fluoro‐substituted derivative (R 1  = R 2  = R 3  = F; R 4  = CF 3 ) is shown to be a state‐of‐the‐art substance in terms of luminescent efficiency and photostability.
