Porphyrin–fullerene linked systems (see Figure), which form self‐assembled monolayers on ITO electrodes, exhibit enhanced photocurrent generation: This is due to a two‐step electron transfer protocol—first intramolecularly from 1 P to C 60 , then intermolecularly from the resulting C 60 • – to the electron carriers.
