Distributed feedback (DFB) lasers were made on silicon substrates by using elastomeric stamps to pattern dye‐doped mesostructured silica into ridge waveguides with a grating on top. The emission spectra of the lasers have several peaks with a full width at half maximum of 0.3 nm (see Figure). The lasers were photopumped and had a lasing threshold intensity of ∼55 kW/cm 2 .
