Reliable methods of patterning thin zeolite films on various supports, such as the versatile photochemical method introduced here, will lead to a breakthrough in applications, e.g., as combinatorial catalysts. The Figure shows an SEM image of a glass plate patterned directly with a continuous film of the zeolite ZSM‐5 by dipping the plate in the synthesis gel, a technique also reported here.
