A novel, compact, and simple‐to‐manufacture photon recycling device , which is driven by a polymer light emitting diode (LED), generates highly circularly polarized light. The device (see Figure) is based on a chiral nematic liquid crystal and it uses the metal cathode of the LED simultaneously as electrode and as recycling mirror of the recycling structure.
