Silver catalysed adsorbtion of propylene onto the surface of zeolite Y has been observed by soft X‐ray adsorption spectroscopy (NEXAFS). Propylene adsorbtion was found to cause a redistribution of silver leading to a dramatic reduction in the size, and a concomitant increase in the uniformity, the Figure showing a fully loaded silver sample before and after propylene adsorption.
