A facile crystal puller based on thermal expansion property of metal was set up. In order to enlarge the displacement produced by the thermal expansion rod, a lever with 100 cm long was utilized. As a demonstration, a NaCl crystal of 45 mm in length and about 12 mm in diameter was successfully grown by using this apparatus.
