A method is developed for the formal solution of triple series equations involving Legendre polynomials. The solution of the triple series is reduced to two simultaneous Fredholm integral equations and the results obtained are simpler than those of other authors and are suitable for obtaining the power series solution of the equations. For an application of the results, an electrostatic problem is discussed and solved using the proposed method.
