This volume of AN contains the proceedings of the Joint Discussion #1 (JD‐1) “Astronomy with Robotic Telescopes: Present and Future Projects” and of the Mini Symposia #9 (MS‐9) “Hot subdwarfs, white dwarfs, and low‐mass star evolution”, and #10 (MS‐10) “Large Telescopes for Solar Physics”. The meetings were held as part of the JENAM 2001 conference “Five Days of Creation. Astronomy with Large Telescopes from Ground and Space” in Munich, Germany, from September 10 through 15, 2001.
