We present the results from the second long‐term (six‐day) observation of the Seyfert 1 galaxy MCG–6‐30‐15 with ASCA Owing to extremely good photon statistics, we detected a H‐like sulphur (S xvi ) edge in addition to the previously reported O VII and O VIII edges. The broad iron emission line with a red tail is confirmed. We investigated the variability of the iron line feature with a timescale of 2 × 10 4 s throughout the observation.
