Two low energy satellites of the iron K β line were observed in the spectra of DyFe 2 , DyFe 3 , Dy 2 Fe 17 , YDyFe 17 and Y 2 Fe 17 , and were interpreted as plasmon modes excited in the crystalline lattice. Peak energies were successfully fitted within the electronic collective excitation model specific to the crystal and electronic structures of related compounds.
