Large Pr 0.7 Pb 0.3 MnO 3 single crystals with high quality have been prepared by flux growth by using the acceleration crucible rotation technique. The temperature dependence of the resistivity and magnetoresistance have been measured. It is found that the transition temperature in resistivity is 50 K higher than the Curie temperature. Below the transition temperature, the resistivity exhibits a metallic behavior, the low temperature resistivity can be fitted well by AT 2.5 . Above the transition temperature, the resistivity can be fitted well by Mott's law, and a larger effective paramagnetic moment than the theoretical value has been observed. A large low‐field magnetoresistance has been obtained.
