The critical properties of a ferroelectric multilayer system consisting of two alternating different pseudo spin‐1/2 and spin‐ S ( S ≥ 1/2) ferroelectric slabs with the same thickness L are discussed by the use of the spin‐ S transverse Ising model. The behavior of the transition temperature T c and the critical transverse field Ω c is examined as a function of the inter‐slab interaction R numerically, selecting the two values of L and S , namely L = 1, 2 and S = 1/2, 1. We have found many characteristic phenomena in the systems, such as double values of T c in a certain region of R , when the values of R and Ω are selected as large values.
