The diffusion of intercalated ions in layered crystals is considered. We calculate the corrections to the diffusion coefficient due to the Coulomb interaction between ions and electrons. The model predicts the linear dependence of the diffusion coefficient on the concentration of intercalated ions N 0 . The effective diffusion coefficient depends on distance which indicates a deviation from classical diffusion behavior.
