The properties of the ground state in spin‐3/2 transverse Ising model with the presence of a crystal field are studied by using the effective‐field theory with correlations. The longitudinal and transverse magnetizations and the phase diagram and internal energy in the ground state are given numerically for the honeycomb lattice ( z = 3).
