The electronic structure of high‐ T c superconducting Bi–Sr–Ca–Cu–O thin films was calculated. On the basis of the results of band calculation, total and projected densities of electronic states as well as X‐ray emission OKα and CuLα and photoelectron spectra for each film were calculated. The dependence of the electronic structure and spectra on the number of CuO 2 layers in the unit cell of the films is discussed.
