An interaction between pairs of Mn atoms in the iron‐based solid solution Fe 0.95 Mn 0.05 was investigated by applying the 57 Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy (MS). It turned out that the nature of the Mn pair interaction in iron crystal derived from the MS data (strong repulsive interaction) is in contradiction with that resulting from the semi‐empirical Miedema‐Królas model (weak attractive interaction).
