Using an effective‐field theory with correlations we study a diluted mixed spin‐1 and spin‐3/2 Ising ferrimagnet with crystal field interaction D ( D < 0) on a honeycomb lattice. We find that the number of compensation points in the system may be increased, owing to the small negative D .
