The influence of the interlayer exchange coupling parameter on the magnitude and distribution of magnetization in exchange coupled bilayers is investigated. The Green function and transfer matrix formalisms are applied to the case of an f.c.c. nonmagnetic spacer. Oscillations of the magnetization with change of the spacer thickness are found. Moreover, the results obtained show that the Curie temperature of ultrathin films depends on the interlayer exchange parameter in agreement with experimental indications.
