A procedure of structure modeling for disordered systems, based on diffraction evidence has been suggested. It has been used to construct a structural model of the Co 81 P 19 amorphous alloy. The character of the atomic arrangement in the model has been analyzed in terms of Voronoi polyhedra statistics and parameters of the bond–angle distribution. A conclusion has been made that the prevailing structural motif for the amorphous alloy studied is prismatic packing of the Co 3 P–J4‐ type.
