Systematic Variation between the Madelung Energy and a Crystallographic Ratio in the Alkali Halides

Correlations between the Madelung energy and a crystallographic ratio in the alkali halides are presented. It is found that in extrapolating the linear relationships all the alkali halides have an approximately equal value in terms of the above‐mentioned parameters.
