A novel conjugated polymer which contains a ruthenium(II) bipyridine complex was synthesized by the Suzuki coupling reaction. The reddish orange polymer is completely soluble in acetone, acetonitrile, and DMSO. The number‐average molecular weight M̄ n determined by end group analysis was 50 000 g/mol.
